Snowflake Software GML Viewer

Summary of change

This is the first release of the GML Viewer. The source is based on the original OS MasterMap Viewer.

New Features

• Support for TOP10NL, AAA-NAS, OS MasterMap via dynamically loaded schema packs
• Support for any other GML2 or GML3 dataset
• Ability for the user to create and save user defined styles
• Integration with Java v1.5
• New standalone installer
• New look and feel

Known Issues

• Some users are finding it difficult to view very detailed GML files (files containing over 1 million features). Snowflake's GML Viewer uses a memory model to store all loaded features, therefore, performance and load capacity is very much dependent on the amount of memory available. Apart from buying more memory, you can increase capacity by increasing your operating system swap file space (see the FAQ on how to do this). As always to free up more memory try closing other applications. The more free memory you have the more data you can view.
