Snowflake Software expands Support Team with industry expertise

Southampton, August 14: Snowflake Software takes pleasure in introducing the latest member of its team, Daniel Hardwick, to its pre-sales support infrastructure. Daniel brings to Snowflake a wealth of experience in both GIS and geology, providing a perfect knowledge base for the company's growing user group. Having lived in New Zealand , Australia and Brazil , he also expands the already international community of Snowflake's personnel.

Hardwick's exceptional knowledge of GIS stems from over seven years spent at ESRI (UK) where he provided technical advice and application support to the private and public sectors. Here he was also instrumental in supporting the utilities market – developing bespoke applications around ArcGIS and ArcSDE/Oracle. Hardwick's years at ESRI also provided him with the essential experience of interfacing directly with the users both on and off-site which he will continue to enjoy at Snowflake.

With an education in geology and on-hand experience from working with the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA), Hardwick also brings another vertical talent to the team. This valued comprehension of the geological industry will deliver multiple benefits to Snowflake as the company continues to address this market.

“Daniel's experience is invaluable to Snowflake,” explained Ian Painter, Managing Director of Snowflake Software. “His experience and expertise means he is already involved in servicing our users across Europe and providing pre-sales guidance on OS MasterMap, IMRO and NAS-AAA. We are delighted to welcome him to Southampton .”

As a dinghy sailor, moving to Southampton was not a difficult decision for Daniel, who seems to have already found a way to relax on the city's Town Quay.

Hardwick has a BSc Geology from the University of Otago, New Zealand and an MSc GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Greenwich.
