Snowflake releases new version of its popular OS MasterMap Viewer

With over 200 downloads now taken place, interest in Snowflake's freely available OS MasterMap™ Viewer continues to grow from strength to strength and its not just potential UK OS MasterMap customers taking a look. Snowflake's OS MasterMap Viewer has worldwide appeal, with interested parties downloading from across the globe including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, USA, New Zealand, Norway, Netherlands, Russia and Italy.

As well as interest from the GI industry, Snowflake's OS MasterMap Viewer is also turning some heads in the Java world having achieved a prestigious listing in the Swing Sightings gallery on java.sun.com for its innovative use of Java 2D and Java Swing graphical user interface.

To coincide with these achievements, Snowflake is pleased to announce a new release of its OS MasterMap Viewer freely available for download from its web site. The new release boasts a range of new display tools, new data loading features and even faster data load speeds. A new 'light load' option allows the loading and viewing of increased amounts of OS MasterMap data. Users can view map positions as Latitude Longitude coordinates as well as British National Grid and there is a new display tool to show summary statistics for all loaded data.
