Snowflake Software was founded in 2001 when the Directors identified the need for 'off the shelf' solutions to integrate specialised GIS applications into more mainstream IT technologies. Over the last 5 years, Snowflake has successfully removed the notion that GIS technology belongs in an independent and elite microcosm. The company has helped introduce the concept that location based information plays an ever-increasing and essential role in a company's / government's corporate IT infrastructure.
